Axel (Corps Security)

Axel (Corps Security) - Harper Sloan Shhhh....Axel is a crier. And his dick is always hard.
Axel is scarily similar to [bc:Play It Safe|13413762|Play It Safe|Kristen Ashley|http://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1326638842s/13413762.jpg|18699235] and [bc:Creed|13640229|Creed (Unfinished Hero, #2)|Kristen Ashley|http://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1347468402s/13640229.jpg|19254508].
Similar, but not comparable. The writing here is no where near as tight and endearing as kristen ashley's.
There are some serious continuity problems, she's panicking, then cowering then smart ass, then binge drinking, then horny...its all a bit jumpy. But yet there is compelling depth to the cohesive parts of the story. Those parts i liked.
Axel's pov is awesome, even if he's obsessed with his own hard-on (he reached down to adjust 'him' pants) lol.
This book was frustrating. Almost so good but also so annoying.
This book had All of my pet peeves; long separations, typos, dead babies, pregnancy. My god, breast feeding as the HEA? i dislike it when the alpha doesn't get the rescue/kill, and what kind of man lets his first born son be named after some other dude?
There is an awesome playlist in the credits, but not utilized in the book.
Some parts felt very young adult (the unrealistic drinking quantities, the girlie shopping, the platonic hugging of hot bunch guys)
And Axel has got to be the worst PI/security ever; it takes him years to find her and his intel (which was gossip) tells him she's happy, but he never verified that. Then he lets her answer the door ALONE, and sends her off for a girls day without a man on her! God man, any good hot bunch alpha knows you keep a man on her!
Speaking of KA, when does emulation become plagiarism? The club Carnal is also the town name in [b:Breathe|15742039|Breathe (Colorado Mountain, #4)|Kristen Ashley|http://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1341841655s/15742039.jpg|21429192].

11+ typos, why?

ETA: intellectual property is a complicated topic, and many of these books have similar themes, but this is just too similar to [b:Three Wishes|11102353|Three Wishes|Kristen Ashley|http://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1327913254s/11102353.jpg|16024485] (and the other KA works mentioned) for my comfort. I'm not going to read the second book, or anymore of this series/author.
